Redbud Arts Center Temporary Public Sculpture in Houston Call for Artists
- Who Can Apply: Individual artists and artist teams worldwide aged 18 or older may apply. Experience making durable, site-specific or public-facing sculpture is encouraged; applicants must be able to deliver outdoor work in Houston, Texas.
- The Focus: An original, nonpolitical sculpture responding to a Houston boulevard site, installed in early 2027 and displayed for about one year. Work must withstand outdoor conditions and be safe for all ages.
- Compensation: The $3,000 USD artist award is the entire project budget, covering design, fabrication, engineering, transport, installation, maintenance, insurance and removal.
- Key Requirements: Use the embedded entry form: CV for each artist, combined statement/biography, and proposal explaining concept, materials, dimensions and public experience. Submit up to 3 sculptures, each with 1 JPEG photo or rendering (maximum 2 MB), title, year, medium and dimensions in inches.
