  • Who Can Apply: Individual Iowa artists or artist teams who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or in the process of obtaining a Permanent Resident Card and are full-time Iowa residents
  • The Focus: Plan, design, and create an original, site-specific community mural in an Iowa community of 20,000 or fewer residents
  • Compensation: Total project budget of $25,000 covering artist fees, materials, equipment rental, travel, community engagement and planning; no additional funds
  • Key Requirements: Statement of interest; resume/CV (team/studio resume or combined member resumes); 5–10 images of relevant previous work; names and contact information for 2 professional references; submit via SlideRoom

PayTotal project budget of $25,000, all-inclusive: covers artist fees for design, project management and mural creation, supplies and materials, equipment rentals, travel, and required site selection/community engagement/planning. No additional funds; contract value set by mural size and an IEDA-approved cost estimate. No separate finalist or design fee is stated.
