Travel coveredHousing: Single room in the shared Gasworks Residency House, London
  • Who Can Apply: Contemporary visual artists at a pivotal stage in their career based in Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia, with at least a moderate level of spoken English; individuals only.
  • The Focus: Self-led, process-based eleven-week residency at Gasworks, London (7 July – 21 September 2027), leading to a solo exhibition at Gasworks in July–September 2028.
  • The Funding: Fully funded: studio, shared-house accommodation, return flights, visa costs, £175 weekly stipend and up to £800 materials budget.
  • Key Requirements: One PDF (max 15MB) uploaded via the online form on the opportunity page: cover sheet with contact details; 250-word statement on artistic practice; 250-word statement on residency plans; up to 15 images or video/sound clips of recent work with captions (up to 100 words per artwork); CV/resume of no more than 3 pages; any relevant documentation (articles, exhibitions, publications). Spoken answers may replace the two statements via linked sound/video files. Shortlisted artists (3–5) have a short online interview.

Individuals only: duos/collectives cannot be hosted, and partners/children cannot be accommodated. Applicants need at least a moderate level of spoken English. Gasworks cannot respond individually or give feedback to unsuccessful applicants. A shortlist of 3–5 artists is interviewed online. Timeline: interviews week beginning 15 March 2027; applicant notified week beginning 22 March 2027.
