Smartwear Revolution Artist in Residence Open Call
- Who Can Apply: Open to individual artists and small collectives worldwide with experience in visual arts, fashion-based work, or performance; no age, nationality, or geography restrictions.
- The Focus: Two Spring 2027 residencies — one in-person in Edmonton and one online — with the Smartwear Revolution research team, developing work for the 2028 SUPPORT festival.
- The Funding: In-person residency: $12,000 CAD total; virtual residency: $8,000 CAD total.
- Key Requirements: EOI application form, artist statement (250–500 words), biography or short CV (250–500 words), 8–10 work samples, and project proposal (250–500 words).

Application notesTwo-stage application: Stage 1 EOI, then Stage 2 full proposal and interview. Alternative audio or video submissions are accepted, though the Google Form must still be completed. Information sessions are offered on Zoom (Wed 14 Oct 4-5pm MST, Nov 18 6-7pm MST, Wed Dec 9th 5-6pm MST). Selected works must be able to exist in both in-person and virtual settings.
