Who Can Apply: Open nationally to artists, designers, and craftspeople with active artistic practice, evidence of national/international exhibition participation, and experience working with students.
The Focus: Semester-long residency to create and develop work while engaging with the university and broader Little Rock community.
The Funding: $30,000 stipend for the semester, $2,000 materials and travel budget, housing, private studio, and access to extensive facilities.
Key Requirements: Cover letter, CV, portfolio (20 images max with captions), three professional references, and responses to three disqualifying questions about degree/commensurate experience, national/international exhibition participation, and experience with diverse learners.

Application notesInternational artists without visa sponsorship must answer 'NO' to the employment authorization question. Applications submitted through Workday. Required to be present for full residency duration (Fall: Aug. 15 – Dec. 15 or Spring: Jan. 15 – May 15). Artist must give two public artist talks, run a minimum 2-day workshop, maintain weekly open studio hours, critique BFA students, participate in class activities, and donate one artwork to UA Little Rock's permanent collection. Optional paid workshop teaching opportunities available at Arkansas Museum of Fine Art's Windgate Art School.
