Who Can Apply: Undergraduate and graduate students in their second year or later of a degree program; recent graduates (within 12 months); PhD students in their first two years who have not achieved candidacy; international applicants with valid US work authorization.
The Focus: Learning about museum practice and professional skills development across various Museum departments and fields.
Compensation: $26 per hour, 14 hours per week maximum.
Key Requirements: Unofficial transcript, résumé describing past experiences, portfolio (for Design Department applicants only), application essays explaining learning goals and commitment to the internship.

Application notesFirst-year undergraduate students are not eligible. PhD candidates are not eligible. Current and former interns may reapply if they have not completed 12 months or two or more semesters as an intern. International applicants must have valid US work authorization; the Museum does not sponsor visas. Applicants requiring J-1 visa should apply to full-time MuSe Internship Program instead. Supervisors may renew current interns for the same project/department without reapplication.
