City of Zürich Flexible Project Grant (Flexbeitrag)
- Who Can Apply: Professional individual artists, groups and cultural institutions may apply for projects with a strong connection to Zürich through participants, production or presentation. City residence is not required.
- The Focus: One-time project funding for artistic ideas and initiatives in professional cultural production (performing arts, film, literature, music, visual arts), including interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects.
- The Funding: Up to CHF 50,000 supports a project. The financing plan normally includes appropriate own income and third-party participation; no fixed matching percentage is stated.
- Key Requirements: Submit electronically in German or English with a project description, participants’ CVs and the official budget template. Legal entities add statutes and annual accounts. Applications must precede project implementation by at least two months.

Application notesApply electronically through the City of Zürich culture application portal in German or English; proceedings are conducted in German. Submit a project description, CVs of participants and the official budget template/financing plan; legal entities also submit statutes and annual accounts. Submit at least two months before project implementation. Budget only future work, except that festivals/events with long preparation periods may include preparation costs. The project must be publicly accessible, need public support and demonstrate feasibility, normally with own income and third-party participation; budget appropriate artist compensation and social-insurance contributions.
