Application notesSubmissions online only via Submittable. In-person receiving days for accepted work: Tuesday, Sep. 29 - Wednesday, Sep. 30, 10am-5pm. Shipping accepted work must arrive between Monday, Sep. 28 - Wednesday, Sep. 30; work arriving after this date will not be included. Shipped entries must include prepaid return shipping label. Artists responsible for shipping to and from ACS. Artwork placement determined by Exhibition Director; locations cannot be changed after installation. Work not picked up by final pickup day (Nov. 17) incurs $5/day holding fee. Work not retrieved after 30 days becomes property of Art Center Sarasota. All work must be for sale; no POR or NFS unless stated. No third-party dealer sales or direct artist-to-buyer sales during exhibition. ACS will ask purchasers if they consent to sharing contact info with artist. AI-generated art not allowed. Work must be original, completed within last three years, not previously shown at ACS. Copies/reproductions not eligible. Editioned prints allowed if labeled and numbered. Artists responsible for copyright compliance. Work must be complete and fully dry upon delivery. 2D work: stretcher bars preferred for canvas; no sawtooth hangers; multi-strand picture wire only; wire must not sit above frame top; no monofilament; framed work with glass/plexi must be clean and scratch-free; mats must be clean and professionally cut; frames in good condition. 3D work: jewelry must have appropriate display stand/form. Special installation needs must be described; if accepted, artist must provide required tools/materials. Diptychs/triptychs count as one submission, charged as single piece, with uniform frames if framed. ACS will insure exhibited work for exhibition duration; damage claims based on Insurance Value; ACS liability limited to insurance coverage amount. Artists consent to ACS using name and artwork images for promotional/advertising purposes and waive privacy/copyright claims related to this use.
