Svenska kulturfonden Project Grants for Artists (Projektbidrag för konstnärer, privatpersoner och arbetsgrupper) — Svenska kulturfonden
  • Who Can Apply: Professional artists may apply individually or as a working group with a connection to Swedish-speaking Finland. Students and groups mostly studying for a first arts degree are excluded.
  • The Focus: Support a defined artistic project such as an exhibition, book or theatre production, with a clear beginning and end; the project can last longer than the funded work period.
  • The Funding: There is no fixed cap; request about one to four months of artistic work plus project costs. Projects should normally include other funding, with a balanced budget.
  • Key Requirements: Apply through the artist-project portal with a project plan, balanced income/expense budget, CV and digital work samples. Groups need a separate account and all members' details; disclose any external generative-AI assistance.

Application notesStart at https://ansokan.kulturfonden.fi/prequestions/2703 and select November / Projektbidrag inom konst (privatpersoner och arbetsgrupper). Submit a project plan answering who, what, how, why and when, a realistic balanced income/expense budget covering the entire project, a current CV and digital work samples. Visual artists should submit a PDF portfolio with work titles, techniques and years, or an accessible website with those details; social-media accounts and reviews/articles alone are insufficient, and direct cloud-storage sample links are not accepted. A CV should give education and current/past work or projects; PDF is recommended and LinkedIn links are not accepted. Working groups must create a separate account for this application, record all members' names and personal identity numbers, and include every member's CV. An individual may instead engage collaborators through invoices/tax cards but cannot simply redistribute an individual award as group grants. State other funding and disclose external generative-AI tools and purposes. You may also apply for a working grant but cannot receive both personally for the same year. No work-sample count or file-size limit was found in the public guidance; the full form is not public before opening.
