TRACES Art & Science Residency at Energypolis (Résidence Art & Science)
Travel coveredHousing: Self-catering apartment at Villa Les Pâquerettes, Sion, in collaboration with Fondation Margherita.
- Who Can Apply: International professional visual artists aged 25 or older, with at least two years of professional practice and whose studies were completed at least two years prior.
- The Focus: A three-month art & science residency at Energypolis, Sion, creating original works in dialogue with the EPFL Laboratory for Energy Materials and presented publicly.
- The Funding: CHF 2,000 per month artistic grant (CHF 6,000 in total); travel covered up to CHF 1,500 and housing provided; production budget set separately.
- Key Requirements: Applications must be submitted online via www.traces-opencall.ch in English or French and include: a motivation letter (maximum 1 A4 page, 3,000 characters), a letter of intent (maximum 2 A4 pages, 6,000 characters) relating to the thematic framework, a representative portfolio of recent work, and an artistic CV.

Application notesThe dossier is submitted through the project website www.traces-opencall.ch. The jury's decision is final and not motivated; candidates will be notified in writing. Visa and travel document procedures are the resident's responsibility, and health/accident insurance valid in Switzerland must be provided before the residency begins. Food, mobility and telephone costs on site are not covered.
