Ursa Major Fund Grant (Bunnell Street Arts Center)
- Who Can Apply: Alaska-based artists and culture bearers age 18+; collaborative projects require an Alaska-based Lead Applicant and a majority of collaborators who define Alaska as home. MFA/BFA students, 501(c)(3) organizations, for-profit businesses, current-year awardees, and Bunnell Street Arts Center staff/board members are not eligible as Lead Applicants or applicants.
- The Focus: Artist-led, risk-taking, public-facing projects in Alaska that inspire curiosity, engagement, dialogue, and respect for cultural integrity.
- The Funding: Ten grants of $6,000 each, paid in two installments: 80% after signing the award agreement and 20% after the Project Summary.
- Key Requirements: Create or log in to a Submittable account, complete the eligibility and application forms, attach work samples, and include the project budget; application questions and budget template are available for download.

Application notesApplications for 2027 projects are accepted September 1-October 15, 2026, only through Submittable (the Submittable form closes at the end of October 15, Alaska time; a footer line on the apply page saying October 31 is outdated). Statewide Zoom info sessions were August 12 and September 9, 2026; office hours with Ursa Major/Bunnell staff run September 1-October 15.
