Culture Resource (Al Mawred) Wijhat Mobility Grants
Travel coveredHousing: Grant funds cover accommodation costs (partial living-expense support only).
- Who Can Apply: Open to artists of all artistic disciplines and cultural actors from Arab countries, applying individually or as groups; travel must depart from or arrive in the Arab region.
- The Focus: Travel/mobility support to participate in artistic and cultural fairs, residencies, forums, conferences, seminars, and training or capacity-building workshops within or beyond the Arab region.
- The Funding: Up to €7,000 covering travel tickets, visa costs, accommodation, internal transportation, and partial living expenses.
- Key Requirements: Complete the Arabic online application form (except fields required in English) with an official invitation or proof of acceptance, photocopy of passport(s), detailed travel budget, activity program if available, CV, and previous work samples: a single PDF, Word or Zipped file up to 4 MB, or 4 JPEG files up to 1 MB each; for audio/audiovisual works, list website links.

Application notesApply online at apply.mawred.org (register, then choose the Wijhat individual or group form). Applications must be completed in Arabic except fields required in English. Applications are accepted year-round; those received after a round's cut-off (16 Jan, 29 May, 17 Sep, 16:00 Beirut) go to the next round, and the travel activity must take place after that round's announcement date (28 Feb, 1 Jul, 31 Oct). Grantees are responsible for obtaining visas; Culture Resource can provide an embassy recommendation letter after the grant contract is signed. Grants are paid in two installments (60-80% upon signing, remainder after final financial and narrative reports) and must be used within 12 months of announcement.
