  • Who Can Apply: Professional artists and artist teams residing in Florida with experience in large-scale murals or comparable public art commissions.
  • The Focus: Design and installation of a permanent exterior mural at the Richard C. Sullivan Public Library reflecting lifelong learning, creativity, technology, and community.
  • Compensation: Up to $20,000 all-inclusive commission budget covering artist design services, materials, surface preparation, protective coatings, fabrication, installation, equipment/lift rentals, insurance, taxes, and contingency.
  • Key Requirements: Submit via the City of Wilton Manors online form: a three-page-maximum professional résumé, an artist statement, a letter of interest with proposed design concept and project approach, three to five examples of completed public art/mural or comparable projects, at least three professional references, a quote for services with project completion schedule, and a preliminary concept sketch with vision statement.

Finalist honoraria, if any, to be identified during selection. Mural wall is 28 ft wide x 12 ft high, with option to wrap to the building front.

Application notesApplications must be submitted through the City of Wilton Manors online submission form. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Shortlisted artists may be asked to prepare a detailed conceptual design, project schedule, and budget; any honoraria for shortlisted finalists will be identified during the selection process.
