Application notesApplications are accepted in rotating discipline categories each year. For the upcoming 2026 deadline, applications are accepted in crafts, design arts/illustration, interdisciplinary/performance art, media arts, photography, visual arts 2D, and visual arts 3D. The review process is anonymous; applicants must remove all personal identifying information from work samples and written statements. Required materials include work samples (e.g., 9-12 images for visual arts, manuscripts for writers), a Narrative Statement describing the work, and a Philosophy Statement explaining the ideological content and context. All materials are submitted via the ARTIE online system.
