Who Can Apply: Applicants with a graduate degree in studio art, sculpture, design, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, plus knowledge of three-dimensional design principles and contemporary studio practice. College-level teaching and professional studio/fabrication experience are preferred.
The Focus: Teaching ART 142: Three-Dimensional Design, a 3-credit undergraduate studio course covering form, space, structure, materials, process, composition, experimentation, and technical skill. Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 AM–1:45 PM, on the Flint campus.
Compensation: Minimum salary of $6,375 for the Fall 2026 appointment (3 credits; 25% effort). Benefit eligibility depends on job group, appointment percentage, and appointment length.
