  • The Focus: Original black-and-white drawings (graphite pencil, charcoal, or ink pen on paper) responding to the theme "Island Time" — capturing the spirit and feeling of Caribbean island life
  • The Funding: Grand Prize: full Wild Canvas Retreat reservation (private casita, accommodation, meals, instruction, all activities); Second Prize: $500 scholarship toward retreat; Third Prize: $250 scholarship toward retreat
  • Key Requirements: Submit one original drawing created by the participant using traditional drawing media (graphite pencil, charcoal, or ink pen) on paper; post artwork publicly on Facebook or Instagram and tag The Wild Canvas Retreat; complete official entry form by August 26, 2026, 11:50 PM Eastern Time

Application notesEntries must be submitted through official Google Form. Artwork must be entirely original, created solely by the entrant. AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is not permitted. Digital artwork, paintings, colored pencil, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, and mixed media incorporating paint are not eligible. Only black-and-white traditional drawings accepted. One entry per participant. Winners agree to allow The Wild Canvas Retreat to share submitted artwork for promotional purposes with proper credit.
